E. Edelmann & Co. Hardware Organizer

CIMG2033

This metal and plastic hardware organizer is excellent!

E. Edelmann & Co. is written across the top.

It’s in fairly good shape, a couple of the drawers are cracked, some of the plastic is stained from use and the metal is rusty in some areas…

but it is such a neat find and still capable of organizing anything from screws to buttons.

New New New

I have been busy this week updating, adding and rearranging my booth in Aunt Maude’s Attic.

CIMG2038

There are some GREAT new items. Such as, this vintage / repurposed radio cabinet.

As well as small tables, vintage bags, rusty things and more!!!

Drop Front Secretary Makeover

This secretary was in really rough shape; duct tape marks, scratches and discoloration were just a few of its challenges.

BEFORE:

CIMG2019

The piece was in need of a whole new look.  I decided to paint the main body white, use blue on the drawer fronts, and green as a pop on the organizer.

AFTER

It’s hard to believe that this is the same secretary.

Oak Curved Glass China/Curio Cabinet

We recently completed a project I am very proud of, an Oak China Cabinet with curved glass sides.

AFTER:

As you can see, it was in really bad shape when we acquired it.  The back panel was falling apart and water damaged, the top was warped and split, and it only had three of its four legs.

But all of the original glass was completely intact!

We crafted and installed a new back, replaced the top with a new piece of white oak and made a fourth leg. After much stripping and sanding the entire cabinet was stained and refinished.

We reinstalled the original glass and replaced the wood casters.

…and a beautiful Oak Curved Glass China/Curio Cabinet was revealed!

THE END

Happy Turkey Day

Thanksgiving (HAPPY THANKSGIVING) is just two days away and then the Christmas shopping season will begin.

I have been working hard to restock and fluff my booth with all sorts of new vintage finds, including all things Christmas.

I have vintage toys, furniture, kitchen wares, tools, hardware…….and so much more!

I absolutely adore this charming handmade 12 Days of Christmas Banner (seen above).

It is made from felt and covered in hand sewn beads & sequins.  It, definitely, has a wonderful vintage feel and is almost 7 feet tall.

I am always finding and buying old rusty metal things, as you can see.

An old toolbox tray could make great a decorative display or useful storage.  The yellow Tonka toy crane is still working and would make a great gift for any child, including the young at heart.

Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus are molded from the Atlantic Mold Co. in the 1970s.  These pieces are fairly large, Joseph is about 10 inches tall.  Carved into the bottom of Mary: To Betsy, From Billie 1976.

The display you see above makes me smile. 🙂

It includes a milk painted writing desk and rush chair.  The desk top is made out of reclaimed 2 x 4s.

The child’s rush rocking chair is one of my favorite things. ❤

I purchased it without a seat and falling apart, but with a little elbow grease, some glue, clamps, a lot of fiber rush the end result turned out wonderfully.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL 🙂

Happy Christmas, Part Two

I love this time of year.

The weather is cooling down and Thanksgiving is one week away!

I have added some additional Christmas Cheer to my booth.

Christmas, Part One

Hello All!

Christmas is coming soon and no where is that more evident than in retail.  I have been filling my booth with Christmas Goodies and Cheer for all those early Christmas Shoppers.

CIMG1956The adorable vintage handmade Christmas Elves (pictured above) are one of my favorite finds.  They look great hanging from the Christmas Tree in my booth.

CIMG1978

I have been on the lookout for a vintage ceramic Christmas tree all year!  About a month ago I finally found one buried at an Estate Sale.  Made me SOoo HAPPY. 🙂

This ceramic tree is not quite two feet tall and is missing a couple of lights, and music box.  The tree itself is in great shape.

I also have a great set of Shabby, Weathered Christmas Lawn Signs.  They include three Elf Scenes and one Large Santa Claus Cutout!

More Christmas coming soon.

Happy November and way too early Christmas!
